Zabbar ; Malta ( Citta' Hompesch )

Although Grandmaster Fra Ferdinand von Hompesch was rather popular with the Maltese, he failed to oppose the French Invasion of 1798. During his short rule he elevated three village to the status of city; Zejtun: Citta Beland, Siggiewi: Citta Ferdinand, Zabbar: Citta Hompesch.
