Re-construction of the Marsaskala Bypass

Re-construction of the Marsaskala Bypass - Traffic Diversion.
The Malta Transport Authority notifies that reconstruction works on the Marsaskala Bypass will commence on Monday 23rd March. To this end, until further notice, the following traffic management scheme is being implemented:
- Access to Marsaskala through the Bypass will only be permitted in the direction towards Marsaskala.
- Vehicular traffic from the Zabbar and Cottonera area in the direction towards Marsaskala will commute through Triq tal-Labour, Triq Hompesch, Triq il-Kunvent, Triq il-Karmnu, Triq Wied il-Ghajn, Triq Zabbar, Triq San Gwakkin and Triq ix-Xatt;
- Vehicular traffic from Tal-Barrani towards Marsaskala will commute through Triq il-President Anton Buttigieg, Triq id-Dahla ta¡¯ San Tumas, Triq tal-Gardiel and Triq il-Qaliet;
- Vehicular traffic from Zejtun will commute through Triq Zabbar, Triq Zejtun Triq San Guzepp, (the link road between Zejtun and Zabbar) or through Triq Wied iz-Ziju (access road adjacent to the Sant¡¯Antnin Recylcing Plant.)
- Route buses will commute through Marsaskala Bypass in the direction towards Marsaskala onto Triq Sant¡¯ Anna, Triq La Sengle, Triq Zabbar, Triq Wied il-Ghajn, Triq Hompesch onto Triq tal-Labour, Zabbar.
- Vehicular traffic from Marsaskala will be diverted through Triq Sant¡¯Anna, Triq La Sengle, Triq Zabbar, Triq Wied il-G©€ajn and Triq is-Santwarju;
- Or through Triq ix-Xatt, Triq il-Qaliet, Triq tal-Gardiel, Triq il-President Anton Buttigieg and onto Triq tal-Barrani.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and to follow directional signage.
